Intel, Microsoft, Others to Initiate 'Wireless USB Promoter Group'

"Seven companies announced the establishment of the 'Wireless USB Promoter Group,' which will 'unwire' the USB interface.

The companies are Intel Corp, Microsoft Corp, Hewlett-Packard Co, NEC Corp, Agere Systems Inc, Philips Semiconductors of The Netherlands and Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd of Korea. It is being done at the initiative of the core member companies of USB-IF, which is popularizing and promoting USB."
