"Turns out it's not just Microsoft that bit the bullet and signed a Unix code-licensing deal with SCO. Sun Microsystems also secretly agreed to license the Unix source in order to avoid the legal wrath SCO has wrought on IBM's AIX. But Sun went Microsoft one better. Sun also received a warrant to buy as many as 210,000 shares of SCO stock at $1.83 per share as part of the licensing deal."
